President: Catherine Ko
Catherine ('24) is studying chemistry at Caltech and has been an enthusiastic member of the Badminton Club since her sophomore year. She enjoys meeting new friends of all ranks through playing badminton together. As President, she hopes to foster a tight-knit community of active, ever-improving players by increasing Caltech's venues for competitive and recreational play.
Treasurer: Eileen Li
Eileen ('24) is studying CS+econ at Caltech and has been a member of the Badminton Club since 2020. She thinks Badminton Club is a good way to destress, and the people are interesting. She hopes that the club won't run out of money this year.
Secretary: Ben Hong
Benjamin ('25) is studying physics and computer science at Caltech and has been an active member of the Badminton Club since 2021. Benjamin likes the badminton club because he can play badminton through the badminton club. As this year's badminton club secretary, Benjamin hopes to be an effective badminton club secretary and help with the badminton club's operations.
Grad Rep: Yue Liu
Yue Liu (G4) is studying condensed matter physics at Caltech and has been an active member of the Badminton Club since 2019. He likes having boba tea with friends after club practices. In the coming year he hopes to introduce badminton to more Caltech members.

Coach: Marianne Aellen
Marianne Aellen is a badminton player from Switzerland. During her studies she competed at various collegiate tournaments: In 2015, she became Swiss university champion in singles and doubles. At the Boston Open 2016 she won the collegiate competition in singles and in doubles, in mixed doubles she placed 3rd. Before Marianne started a postdoc at Caltech in May 2022 she played in the highest league in Switzerland. At the Swiss championships in February 2022, she reached the quarterfinal in singles and won a bronze medal in doubles. Apart from her career as a player, she has successfully completed various coaching education courses. Since 2012 she has been coaching at the university badminton club in Zurich.
